Benefits of our Compost
Our compost is produced from trees cut in the Atlanta metro area. The trees are chipped by the tree service on-site, ground up here in Norcross; screened, then aged. Temperatures during composting approach 160 degrees. The compost is ready to use when the temperatures do not rise above 100 degrees after turning. This process takes about 6 months. Much local compost is sold before it is fully aged. If you apply compost to your landscaping before it is ready it will rob your plants of essential nitrogen and your plants' growth will be stunted. Compost is one of the best soil amendments you can use. It's completely natural and it supplies everything your soil needs to promote growth.
